This March marks the third-annual Maryland Wine Month, a celebration of a creative industry that continues to grow each year. With nearly 100 wineries in the state, we have a lot to toast. Maryland Wine Month festivities abound, including educational opportunities, live music events, and tastings featuring a variety of paired foods and desserts.

Maryland Wine Month is as much a celebration of the state’s wineries as it is a bash for the consumers of the many delicious wines produced here. The Maryland Wineries Association has challenged wine enthusiasts to tag their social media posts of Maryland wine, or their visits to wineries, with #WeAreMarylandWine for an opportunity to win passes to a new brunch experience at Decanter Reimagined, a wine tasting and horse racing event at Laurel Park in April.

Exceptional wine retailers from around the state will be recognized during this year’s Maryland Wine Month as the Association bestows “Retailer of the Day” titles to shops specializing in Maryland wine. Many of these retailers are scheduled to host tastings featuring Maryland wine throughout the month.
